Welcome, I’m Hannah, a Speech and Language Therapy Advisor/Makaton Tutor who provides a wide range of therapeutic interventions tailored to each individual’s needs.
I have expertise in Early Years, 20 years experience in speech and language therapy with extensive experience and knowledge of SEND.
I offer a professional and friendly bespoke service. My work encompasses a holistic approach, by offering a creative and explorative space to facilitate learning opportunities for parents/carers, professionals and children.

Learn Makaton signing and support children, young people and adults to enhance communication skills and language development.
iHANDZ provides a range of therapeutic specialised services which facilitate an effective and creative learning experience.
Speech and language therapy support sessions are offered in multiple settings, which include home visits, nurseries and schools. Sessions are offered in Buckinghamshire and beyond, or online training from wherever you are located in the UK.
WHAT IS MAKATON?
Makaton derived from BSL in the 1970s and is a communication programme, consisting of three main elements. These are signs, symbols and speech. Makaton supports non-verbal communication such as eye contact, gesture, body language, facial expression, and intonation.
ACCESSIBLE FOR ALL
Anyone can learn Makaton! It is designed to support both adults and children with learning and communication difficulties and disabilities. Makaton supports parents, carers, families, Early Years professionals and more.

BESPOKE 1:1 MAKATON TUTORING
MAKATON SIGNING FOR GROUPS
Group sessions can be booked to train parents/carers and professionals to learn Makaton whilst engaging in interactive activities in group sessions with children, this creates an opportunity for children to learn and practise Makaton signing and develop essential early language skills. The groups facilitate the opportunity for everyone to sign together.
Bespoke sessions are personalised to suit your individual needs. We ensure you can work at your own pace while learning Makaton signing.
ONLINE MAKATON TRAINING COURSES
In addition to face-to-face sessions, we offer online training courses. Online courses are available for parents/carers, families, Early Years and other professionals.
SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY SUPPORT SESSIONS
These sessions can be offered online and face to face. Home visit sessions are available locally and are suitable for children as they are more familiar in their own environment. We offer support with communication skills and language development within play-based activities. My sessions are interactive and visually stimulating when using Makaton signs.
REVISION SESSIONS
Revision sessions can be booked on request. Online sessions are available to practice your Makaton signing as part of your continued Makaton journey. For further details or to make a booking, contact Hannah.
LEARN A NEW SKILL
Makaton signing can be used by children and adults to communicate with their family, teachers and friends. It encourages everyone to interact effectively.
